I made this little dog for a friends sons 1st birthday. It was really easy to make and didn't take too long. I had a bit of an issue at one point with the instructions, I got confused as to where to put the ears before sewing the gusset on, maybe I was just tired!! Anyway I ignored what it said and just went with how I've done that sort of thing in the past, and it worked, so there you go.

Blue Booties

I bought an embroidery book called easy stitches, just to get myself into some simple embellishments, nothing too fancy. As a result I made these blue booties.

Stitching comments: I didn't cut the embroidary thread long enough to go all around the part of the bootie that need to be. As a result you can see the join, better luck next time. I'm quite happy with the cars though.

A little monster

I made this cute little monster for a girlfriends baby boy.

Stitching comments: This was really easy to make. You sew around a shape then cut it out as apposed to sticking to a seam allowance.

Learnt: I went a bit tight around the arm pits, wont do that again!!

Very first Softie

This is my very first attempt at making a softie, think i'm hooked!!


Stitching comments: In my eagerness to make my first softie I used the wrong material. I used flannelet and should have used something that doesn't frey, the face isn't stitch over the edge. So it would have either been better to make the face in felt and stitch it on over the top or use a different material. We sew and learn!!
